God is truly raising up His army and so many times blessing us by allowing us to witness Him, unlocking and knitting together His willing servants in the most mysterious ways! Each one only fits his part in this amazing puzzle-piece-picture God is unlocking and building!
We had the privilege of spending some time with the most incredible team down in Port Elizabeth this weekend. Each one of them is ready and prepared for this new chapter of KEY CHURCH, in the STREETS of Port Elizabeth. God gave them the vision and they are all fired up to be His hands and feet. There is so much of Christ in all of them – God truly raised them and matured them for a time such as this!
Saturday was a time of spontaneous fellowship. Casting vision, sharing lessons learned and just experiencing the tangible presence of the Holy Spirit working amongst us. This was such a blessed time of equipping and edifying one another for the work we all are cut out to do for the glory of God!
The vision and mandate are clear:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations [help the people to learn of Me, believe in Me, and obey My words], baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always [remaining with you perpetually—regardless of circumstance, and on every occasion], even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19,20
Authentic Christ-love establishes relationships that create discipleship platforms and opportunities. And this is what Street Church do best! Creating the platform for discipleship!
It is here in the streets where we witness how God reconciled the lost. Heal the broken. Restore the rejected. Deliver the oppressed. Set captives free. Break the stronghold of addictions. Re-establish identity and purpose. Teach, equip, and release the ready. Raising them up and releasing them also to be disciple-making disciples.
Sunday (3 September 2023) was day one of this KEY STREET CHURCH in St George’s Park, central Port Elizabeth.
The 9 salvations were confirmation that God had prepared the ground. And the hearts. And that we were merely walking in His prepared works!
We are so excited to see what God will do through these members of His body and through their obedience and willingness to be servants. To LOVE, the way JESUS LOVED US! To take care of the widow, orphan, stranger, poor and needy. Not with merely a hand-out, but through a hand-up!
